Minimal, no-wavey, housey, drone noodles.

Cool story this; I wanted to set up my loft as a studio and have all my stuff set-up up there so I wouldn't have to tidy it all away, and my children wouldn't mess with it. I plugged in some FM homekeyboards and synced them to a Mattel drum machine. I recorded everything live on a Casio DJ-1 (like a super Rapman). I put the tape in a Prince and the NPG "Symbol" case I had spare (as the album tape had been chewed: it's cool though; I have a few copies). I probably recorded this in Summer 2019. I realised quickly that my un-converted loft was really hot in Summer and really cold in Winter - sub-optimal! Anyway, I packed up my stuff and put it away. I recently dug up a box of tapes and fancied playing the "Symbol" album, because actually it's got some great tunes on it, as well as a cool case. Well it wasn't the "Symbol" album was it!! No, it was this bunch of stuff! And frankly, I liked this more than the ambient-noise-drones I've been working on lately. This is an album of pre-pandemic stuff, so the minor chords are Real Gloom and not bandwagon-jumping. This album is a conversation between my current and past selves about the relative merits and cost-obstacles of a loft conversion.
